FAQS

Find the Answers

1. How can I motivate myself to get out of bed in the morning to
exercise?

Trying to reach the goals that you have set can be wonderful motivation.

By setting initial smaller goals that are realistic, you will find yourself motivated as you find yourself becoming closer to reaching those goals.

I find that clients have found being made to be "accountable" helps them and by that I mean knowing that they have their Personal Trainer meeting them at a certain time in the morning - so having a Personal Trainer can definitely help keep you motivated to get up and get going!

2. What should I wear during a personal training session?

I definitely suggest wearing something comfortable, in order for you to be able to move around in easily.

3. Should I eat before the session?

This can depend on the individual, but it's ideal to eat a meal 2-3 hours prior a workout.

If it's not possible to get a full meal in within that timeframe, a light meal at least a hour before will suffice.

It's entirely up to the client with regard to eating as some people prefer not to eat before a session, as this suits them best, which is totally fine too.

4. Do I need to bring anything with me?

A sweat towel and a water bottle is about all you need!

5. Can I refuse to do a particular exercise if it makes me
uncomfortable?

Yes, definitely inform your Personal Trainer of anything that you are not comfortable doing.

There are plenty of alternative exercises that may be available.

If you feel you cannot speak up, then you probably have not found the Personal Trainer that is 'right' for you, as you must always feel that you can discuss any concerns with your PT.

6. How long will it take me to reach my goal?

The timeline for reaching your goals will always vary as different people have very different goals.

The most important thing is to set REALISTIC goals over a REALISTIC timeframe and a good Personal Trainer will be able to help you with this and understand that the goals must be realistic
